We often hear the phrase ‘living your best life’ online and on shows at the moment. And while that can be something that is a little cliche to say, it has a lot of meaning behind it. Because shouldn’t we all want to be living our best life? If that is the case, then why are more of us settling for less? There are so many people out there that are not living their best life and doing much less than they are really capable of. While those people may have aspirations to do more, they do settle for less.
There are many people that have put it quite well, in that once you decide that you deserve less, then you will not get better. So it is all about your frame of mind and what you are thinking about yourself and your qualities. Many people compromise on what they really want to achieve or what they desire. But could that be down to them thinking more about the things that they lack, rather than the things that they have? If you don’t think you’re able to live your best life because something is lacking, then you can quite easily carry on that way and just accept things, without focusing on the good things that you have.
Take, for instance, money in your life. If you want to create more money in your life, then what is it going to take? Is it going to take you sitting around worrying about money and your lack of money to make more? Or is it going to be about making plans and having a focus of what you will do to make more money? It makes sense when you look at it like that, doesn’t it? The same goes for relationships, career, health, or other aspects of your life. When you fear or are concentrating on the things that you lack, then it isn’t going to help you to get where you want to be and help you to live your best life.
So if you are bored of settling and want to make some dramatic changes to your life, then it does need some work and change on your part. If you want to improve your career prospects or want to get into your dream job, then going back to school might be your only option. But how can you afford to pay for it? If you are looking at things that you are lacking, then you may be thinking that you have bad credit so won’t be able to get a student loan to afford to go back. But if you change the way that you think, and focus and make plans, then you may find that there are places out there for a bad credit student loan. You just need to focus and plan, rather than just dismissing something right off the bat because you think it won’t work for you.

Decide What You Want
If you want to systematically change your life, then deciding what you want to do is going to help that. You need to decide what you want, and then believe that it is possible. When you make plans and put things in place, then really, anything is possible. But you should align them with your beliefs and your desires, to make the process more enjoyable and more likely to come to fruition.
Do It Now
The second step to make changes to your life is simply by doing them. Don’t put them off, because there never will be a ‘right’ time to do things. You should make plans, take action, and get them done. Back to the example about going back to school; taking action would be looking into course and submitting your applications. It is that focus that will help you to get things done, rather than the fear of failure or the fear of what you are lacking.
Expect Things To Happen
There are plenty of things that we do expect to happen in life. We expect that we have to pay taxes, and we expect that when we are employed, a paycheck will appear each week or each month. On a similar note, you should expect your desires and dreams to come true. Again, this all goes back to fear or worrying about what you lack. You can’t expect your desires to happen if you are worrying about why they won’t happen. So getting that fear out of your mind is going to help you in a massive way.
The final step to making some big changes in your life is all about keeping going. It can be tough to keep going and staying positive, as there are things in life that can be negative or change your circumstances. But no matter what happens along the way, you need to keep thinking about that dream life that you want. It is all about not settling for less. So if you’re not in the career that you want to be in, then make sure that you are by making plans to get there. If you’re not in the state of health that you want to be in, then again, make plans to get there so that you’re not just setting for less. Focus on what you are able to change, rather than the focus on what you may be lacking to get there. When you change your mindset you can really change your life.

Surround yourself with good and positive people, and it will help to make such a difference to you and being able to say that you live your best life.
